This might be the greatest NHL Draft reaction of all time.

Oshawa Generals forward Beckett Sennecke was in shock after being drafted 3rd overall by the Anaheim Ducks on Friday night. We can’t blame him, considering most scouts predicted that he would be taken in the middle of the first round.

As Scott Niedermayer announced Anaheim’s third overall pick and shocked the hockey world, the cameras quickly panned to Sennecke. Upon hearing his name called, the prospect’s reaction to being picked was one of complete surprise, as he was seen mouthing, “Oh my god. What the f–k”.

Sennecke clearly had not expected to be chosen so early in the draft, but it made for fantastic entertainment. Check out his hilarious reaction below:

This is a GIF you’ll be seeing for so oh so many years to come:

Oh My God. What The F**k.

Sennecke played for the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) last season, where he scored 27 goals and added 41 assists for a total of 68 points in 63 games. The 18-year-old also had a strong showing in the OHL playoffs, scoring 10 goals and 12 assists in 16 games.

The Ducks’ decision to draft Sennecke with the third pick came as a surprise to many, as the forward was projected to be a late lottery pick. However, the Ducks were impressed with his skill set, which includes high-end skill, intelligence, and the potential to be a dynamic player.

Sennecke is described as an impact player with a high-end shot. He also has excellent hands and good size at 6’2″ and 182 pounds.

Sennecke joins a young forward core in Anaheim that includes Trevor Zegras, Mason McTavish, and Jamie Drysdale.

The Toronto native is expected to fit in well with the team’s style of play and has the potential to become a top-six forward in the NHL.
